Back across from whence we came

Back across from whence we came

“The other side, as the old man calls it, can always be seen. We know it. We feel it. We were born from it. We just came across somehow, waves and shuttering, and came to the world. But as we walk by the banks, we know too well we have to return. Something dark grips us with age, and ironically, we just make it easier to cross. Like we yearn to go back, to the nothing and everything we know nothing of.”
